SEDI’s mission is to promote sustainable economic prosperity in northern Arizona through a resilient economy, ecological health, and social equity. This report summarizes SEDI’s work in these areas this year.
SEDI's Innovation Summit 2012 accomplished accomplished all of the following objectives – describe the policies that support a culture of entrepreneurship, provide entrepreneurs with some of the training that would help them succeed, and explain to students the entrepreneurial option after graduation.
Developing a local capacity for processing local beef is the most direct avenue for building a sustainable agricultural sector for northern Arizona’s economy.
The SEDI Sustainable Community Indicators Report is receiving accolades around the community. This decision-support tool is a means to measure our movement towards accomplishing community objectives. We hope to follow up with a second study which will report on the progress we have collectively made.
