Following several advancements on the technical side of heavy manufacturing, he transferred into operations management where he supervised the aerospace forging section of the plant. This led him into a new position with the company which for the first time consolidated all logistics, production planning and raw material management into a single group. In this position he dealt daily with railroad, trucking and ocean transportion issues related to both importing and exporting of manufactured goods. In this role he became a resource expert in transportation for the company’s other plants located in the U.S. and overseas.
