Mandy Roberts Metzger is currently serving her first term as Coconino County Supervisor for District 4, which covers the eastern portion of Coconino County including six Navajo Nation Chapters, two Hopi Villages, Continental Country Club area, Doney Park, and surrounding areas. She is Chair of the Board of Directors from October 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.
Mandy is Co-chair of the Sustainable Economic Development’s Resource-Based Industries Action Team (RBIT). She serves as Coconino County Board of Supervisor’s Liaison to the following committees: Hopi/ADOT/BIA Steering Committee; Navajo/ADOT/BIA Steering Committee; Tuba City Open Dump with Moenkopi; Inter-Tribal Advisory Council (ITAC); Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4 FRI); Coconino County Regional Land Use and Transportation Plan; Coconino County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC); Picture Canyon Core Group; Doney Park Neighborhood Watch. She is also a board member of the Sustainable Economic Development Initiative. On a national level she serves as a member on the National Association of Counties Energy, Environment and Land Use Committee. Locally she is a member of the Flagstaff Leadership Program’s Advisory Committee.
From 1996 to 2009, Mandy was the President of Diablo Trust, a 501( c) (3) non-profit, collaborative, grassroots organization. The Trust addresses a broad array of land management challenges and supports science-based decision making.

Mandy’s leadership skills have been strengthened by her service on many state and local boards, including three gubanatorial appointments by Governors Napolitano and Hull. As a member of the Steering Committee for development of the Coconino County Comprehensive Plan, Mandy showed extensive knowledge of the issues facing Coconino County. Her service on the Advisory Board of the Arizona Water Institute has given Mandy the information necessary to tackle issues related to both water supply and water quality. As Co-chair of the Resource Based Industries Action Team, a part of the Coconino County Sustainable Economic Development Initiative, Mandy works to identify economically viable, resource-based opportunities to support a thriving local and regional economy while promoting stewardship of natural resources.
