The 2017 SEDI Teacher Awards for Sustainability Curriculum (TASC) will be granted to teachers or groups of teachers, pre-K through 12, for lessons, units or projects that have already been developed and implemented in the classroom. These lessons, units or projects must reflect and reinforce the principles of sustainability for the 21st century. The contest period is the 2016/2017 school year. Up to four prizes of $2,500 each will be awarded.

SEDI Educational Outreach Center
The SEDI Educational Outreach Center manages NAU internships and outreach; FUSD and public school outreach; and the Teacher Awards for Sustainability Curriculum. Through these efforts, SEDI enhance partnerships with educational institutions in the region and develops programs that bring them together with businesses to foster sustainability programs and educational opportunities, including placing interns within SEDI.

The Sustainable Economic Development Initiative (SEDI) of Northern Arizona recognized four teachers with a “Teacher Award for Sustainable Curriculum” and no-strings-attached checks for $2,500 at an awards ceremony on May 1 at the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff.
